Is there a product provided situation that detects if a Transaction is Enabled or Disabled?

Answer

There is no product provided situation, but you can create a new situation to accomplish this:

  1. Open the Situation Editor in the TEP GUI.

  2. Click on CICSPlex

  3. Click on "Create New Situation" icon

  4. Create a name for your situation, verify the Monitor Application is set to CICSPlex.

  5. Click on the "CICPlex Transaction Definition Information" attribute group on the left pane and click on "Transaction ID" and "Transaction Status" attributes. Click the OK button.

  6. In the "Formula" tab, set the attribute to be equal "Disabled".

  7. Set your preferred Sampling interval (minimum 30 seconds).

  8. Go to the "Distribution" tab and chose your managed system where to distribute the situation from the "Available Managed System Groups" section on the right pane and move it to the Assigned section with the central arrow.

  9. Go to the "Action" tab and enter your WTO message into the "System Command" section.
