I've ran into a few issues with the process engine designer. How can I make some of the fields a user is shown in their queues and in the launch step required.. They can potentially leave them blank and proceed with the next step in the workflow. Also, can i make the display fields appear greater in height... The system created Comments field is a lot taller than the custom fields I created, amount of string text has no effect. Finally, the display names of the items in each in-basket are also limited as I cannot display the symbolic name.

Can anyone help me out?

Take a look at EDS - this can be applied to Workflow data fields in a step processor - to create dropdown lists, but also to make a field mandatory.
