LIFE-COMM SECURITY SYSTEM NOT OPERATIVE after applying CICS maintenance

Question

When I try to process any request in the Life Comm system, why do I get message LIFE-COMM SECURITY SYSTEM NOT OPERATIVE? I started getting this message after applying CICS Transaction Sever for z/OS (CICS TS) maintenance RSU17 and RSU18.

Answer

The Life-Comm system is based on the Mackinney Systems' Macro Level Interpreter. Apply their PTF Z141110Z as a permanent fix then you should no longer receive message "LIFE-COMM SECURITY SYSTEM NOT OPERATIVE".
