Hello Team,
I would like to know what steps involved in moving an LPAR from one PowerVC environment to another PowerVC environment.
Scenario is below: PowerVC 1 : 1.3.1 PowerVC 2 : 1.4.1
We need to move an existing Host VM LPAR from PowerVC 1 to PowerVC 2 ( Both are in different network ) . Understand that we should first upgrade the PowerVC 1 to 1.4.1 to export it. Please let me know if we need to follow the steps as below
Upgrade the powerVC1 to 1.4.1
Export the PowerVC1 Host VM LPAR
Copy to PowerVC2
Import the image to whatever host we need
Deploy the template

Since PowerVC only lets you export images, not LPARs, your steps will need to include capturing your LPAR on PowerVC1. Unless you've already done that. So I think it looks like this:
Upgrade PowerVC1 to 1.4.0 or newer (shouldn't have to be 1.4.1)
Capture the LPAR on PowerVC1
Export the image created in step 2
Copy it to PowerVC2
Import the image in PowerVC2
Deploy the image on PowerVC2
