My team would like to know if there is a need for the execute bit to be set on API artifacts. For instance: we have .aar and .sar files with rw-rw-r--, and others with rwxrwxr-x. Both seem to work. Is there any reason to set the execute bit?

@jdfreedom - No, there is no need to set the execute bit for aar and sar files.
