Question

Do you have any idea why CICS Explorer 5.4 would fail to connect to one of my CICS Transaction Server for z/OS (CICS TS) V5.4 regions? I'm using the CICS management client interface (CMCI) connection. This is the message I get in the CICS Explorer when I try to connect to this region:

IZE0106E Connect failed with error "Unexpected content type: text/html; charset=iso-8859-1, Not Found" (:)

Note, I have replaced my specific hostname and port as follows ":"

I can successfully connect to all my other CICS TS V5.4 regions on the same LPAR.

I double checked my CICS region joblog and there are no error messages preceding the timestamp of when the IZE0106E occurs.

My CICS joblog shows the TCPIPSERVICE open and a TSO NETSTAT shows that CICS region listening on that port.

There are no security errors or other warnings.

Answer

There could be various other server side host problems that could result in the IZE0106E symptom for "Not found", however I would first ensure the CMCI URIMAP modeled after the DFH$WUUR in the DFH$WU RDO group has been successfully installed in the CICS region.
