Question & Answer
Question
I've been using ISPF z/OS UNIX Directory List Utility (option 3.17) to access Unix files, but I often need to enter a pathname that is longer than the space allowed in the panel field.
Answer
Many fields in ISPF have a + at the end. If this is the case, you can use the Expand function key or the ZEXPAND primary command, and put the cursor on the field you want to expand. This will show a pop-up panel with an expanded field, where you can enter your data.
You can even expand the line command area of the z/OS UNIX Directory List.
If you need more space on the ISPF command line, you can use the CMDE primary command.
