Last March, we introduced the QISKit, a quantum information software kit that lets you conduct experiments on IBM’s Quantum Experience using a Python interface. This interface enables you to work with quantum circuits and execute multiple circuits in an efficient batch of experiments.

It’s been fun to see and hear how so many of you have used the SDK to access the quantum machines.

And things are getting more exciting around here. IBM Research recently announced two new quantum computing challenges for developers. You could win up to $5,000 for developing with our quantum tech.

Here are the details.

Teach Me QISKit Award
This award is given for the best interactive self-paced tutorial (single or multiple Jupyter Notebooks) that explains a specific topic in quantum computing using QISKit and the IBM Q Experience.
Deadline: March 31, 2018

QISKit Developer Challenge
In this challenge, you will write compiler code that takes an input quantum circuit and outputs an optimal circuit for a specific hardware topology. Up to $5,000 in total prizes is available for the winners of this challenge.
Deadline: May 15, 2018.

We can’t wait to see what you do!
