BIO – Anil Jain – Focused on the intersection of informatics, engineering, technology, clinical research and innovation, Dr. Anil Jain is VP and Chief Health Information Officer at IBM Watson Health. He was Co-Founder, Senior VP and Chief Medical Officer of Explorys, Inc. formed in 2009 based on innovations that he developed while at the Cleveland Clinic. In April 2015, Explorys was acquired by IBM as an integral component of the newly formed Watson Health business unit. In May 2017, he was appointed by Congress to the Federal Health IT Advisory Committee formed by the 21st Century Cures Act. He is a Diplomat of the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) and a Diplomate of Clinical Informatics from the American Board of Preventative Medicine. He continues to practice and teach medicine part- time at Cleveland Clinic. In addition to serving on state and national committees focused on driving quality & research through Health IT, Dr. Jain has authored more than 100 publications and abstracts and has delivered numerous talks on the benefits of sustainable Health IT innovation, clinical informatics as well as big data and cognitive analytics. After receiving a degree in Biomedical Engineering and a degree in Medicine from Northwestern University in Chicago, Dr. Jain began his post-graduate training in Internal Medicine at the Cleveland Clinic in 1995. In addition to joining the Department of Internal Medicine in 1998; until July 2011, served as Senior Executive Director of IT where he led several Health IT innovations, including the e-Research programs, quality informatics and created solutions to monitor the “meaningful use” of EMRs to support the EHR Incentive Program. He has previously served as a leader within Better Health Greater Cleveland and is a former co-Director of Informatics of Case Western School of Medicine’s CTSA. He is an active member of the Health Information Management & Systems Society (HIMSS) and the American Medical Informatics Association (AMIA).

BIO – Dhiraj Kunwar holds 20 years of diverse leadership experience in Commercial/SME/ Retail Banking across multiple geographies. Having led many greenfield Banking assignments and has presided over BAU/ digital transformation projects during his banking career in India and UAE. Currently, he heads one of the largest Business Bank in the GCC and responsible for RAK finance, Business liability, and Trade & working capital Business for the Bank as Group Head of Business Banking. He is core member EXCO, ALCO, MRC of the Bank and manages a team of over 600 people for distribution, service, and coverage of SME products and services. Currently, he chairs UBF -SME committee ,which advises Central Bank and Government authorities on matters related to SMEs.

Dhiraj specializes in BFSI leadership, Corporate/SME Banking, SME regulations, Consulting, Change management, Design Thinking, & Innovation. He is also involved with Startup mentoring, Guest lectures at B-Schools.

BIO – Heather Fraser is the global lead for Life Sciences and Healthcare in the IBM Institute for Business Value and a member of the IBM Industry Academy. A life sciences and healthcare professional with over 30 years’ experience in community pharmacy, the life sciences industry, consultancy and thought leadership.

She has worked globally as a Principal consultant in Life Sciences for IBM / PricewaterhouseCoopers Consulting/ C&L. Prior to entering consultancy, she worked as a pharmacist & manager for Boots, the leading UK retail pharmacy (1982 – 1988), and subsequently, in various clinical supplies & development roles for Novartis, a Swiss headquartered pharmaceutical company (1988 – 1997).

Heather holds an MBA from the University of Warwick and is a registered pharmacist with a BPharm(Hons) from the University of Wales. She is a member of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society and the General Pharmaceutical Council.

BIO – Jianying Hu – Jianying is an IBM Fellow, Global Science Leader of AI for Healthcare, and Director of Center for Computational at IBM Research. She has been driving IBM research efforts over the last 10 years on developing advanced computational methods for deriving data-driven insights from real world healthcare data. These methods range from intelligent data preparation and pattern extraction, to complex models for insights generation, to behavioral analysis for personalized interventions. They have been applied to a wide range of use cases in personalized care delivery and care management, care pathway analytics, practice-based evidence, risk prediction, disease progression modeling, real world evidence, drug discovery, and patient and user engagement.

BIO – Paolo Sironi is an elected member of IBM Industry Academy, Watson Financial Services and represents IBM worldwide. In this capacity, he advises C-level financial institutions and mentors entrepreneurs on a host of issues related to business model transformation in the age of digital banking. Previously, he held senior roles in quantitative risk management and investment banking, and founded a startup that offered innovative investment analytics solutions to wealth management firms. Paolo’s fourth and latest book, Financial Markets Transparency, explores the biological underpinnings of financial markets and artificial intelligence, and explores how to bolster the global economy’s immune system in today’s volatile times.
