Security of the Internet of Things

Abstract

Mobile devices, wearables and industrial internet of things will grow tremendously in next five years. This growth will be fueled by 5G, which will revolutionize the way we live and work. Despite these advantages of 5G, security experts are wary that 5G together with internet of things (IoT) will increase the attack surface, bringing new types of cyber vulnerabilities into our lives.

Information Security managers, Chief Security Officer, CISO, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Executive Officers of enterprises using edge computing, smart devices, connected things, internet of things (IOT) and 5G are grappling with security challenges. In this talk, we look at cyber security risks introduced by Connected Things-Edge Computing-5G and the available mitigation policies.
