Starter kit: Zero hunger

Much of the world’s food is grown by independent, small-scale farmers and is distributed by intermediary food cooperatives. The goal of the Zero hunger starter kit is to help developers build apps that make the cooperatives more efficient at food distribution, feeding more people and reducing food waste.

Understand how cooperative systems can be digitized and enhanced to improve access to nutritious food in local communities, especially those suffering from acute hunger. By aggregating and analyzing market, transportation, demand, horticultural, and environmental data, co-ops can optimize productivity, reduce overhead, and decrease volatility in the supply chain of the farming communities.
