Wellness Session: Mindfulness in the Midst

Mindfulness is the practice of becoming fully aware of and attentive to the present moment with kindness and openness to what is. It is a practice that you can cultivate not only on the meditation cushion, but also in the ordinary moments of your day.

Three practices that are particularly helpful for practicing mindfulness in the midst of a busy day are:

  1. STOP: Stop what you are doing, Take three deep breaths, Observe your inner state, Proceed.
  2. RAINN: Recognize, Accept, Investigate, Nurture, Non-identify.
  3. Mindfulness Bell

This session will explain these three practices and how they can fit into the ordinary activities of your day. You’ll learn to practice mindfulness in the midst of whatever your day presents.
