Skill Level: Any

You can change the database that you are using to import data from WCA to WMI.

Step-by-step

  1. Change the WCA database ID

    Change the value of WCADatabaseId.

    For example:

    curl -X PATCH -–header 'Content-Type: application/json'
    -–header 'Accept: application/json'
    --header 'Authorization: APIKey yourapikeyvalue'
    -d '{ \"value": New_WCADatabaseIdvalue \}' 'https://wmi-rest-api-r1.watsonmarketinginsights.ibm.com/api/v1/config/WCADatabaseId'

  2. Define new columns being merged

    Use PATCH to define new columns. For example:

    curl -X PATCH -–header 'Content-Type: application/json'
    -–header 'Accept: application/json'
    --header 'Authorization: APIKey yourapikeyvalue'
    -d '{ \"value":["Newcol1","Newcol2","Newcol3",…]\}' 'https://wmi-rest-api-r1.watsonmarketinginsights.ibm.com/api/v1/config/wcaInputColumns'
  3. Reset the profile and append data in the WCA database

    curl -X POST --header 'Content-Type: application/json'
    --header 'Accept: application/json'
    --header 'Authorization: APIKey yourapikeyvalue'
    -d '{
    "mode": "RESET_APPEND",
    "profile": "CUSTOMER_PROFILE_H",
    "source": {
    "type": "wca",
    }
    }' 'https://wmi-rest-api-r1.watsonmarketinginsights.ibm.com/api/v1/import'
