Introducing custom tool integration for Bluemix toolchains
Toolchains come with out-of-the-box support for a number of common third-party tools like GitHub and Slack. They also support more specialized Bluemix tools, like the Delivery Pipeline, that help deploy your applications. The list of tools that toolchains support is growing steadily. However, when we work directly with customers and their environments, we often find new tools to integrate that are not in the toolchain catalog. The toolchains and Delivery Pipeline beta is now available on Bluemix Dedicated. A toolchain is a set of tool integrations that support development, deployment, and operations tasks. Delivery Pipeline is an optional service that you can use on Bluemix Dedicated to define and automate the sequence of build, deployment, and testing activities to deliver code changes from development to production.
The Toolchains and Delivery Pipeline beta is live on IBM® Bluemix®! Toolchains automate tool integrations and give teams a central place to find tools and monitor significant events, such as pipeline failures. With toolchains, you can also capture successful toolchain patterns in templates that can be provisioned in a repeatable way.
