How can the City of New York optimize the location of ambulances?
This video presents an optimization example using R Studio to optimize the positioning of ambulances based upon the predicted likelihood of accidents. It illustrates how you can easily integrate optimization in an R application.
It builds on two existing examples:
- The Predict Accidents example available from the IBM Data Science GitHub. This is a shiny app that presents a car accident predictive model.
- The Coffee Shops location example available from the Decision Optimization GitHub. This is a Python Notebook that presents a geolocation model.
You can download the ambulance location example from the Decision Optimization GitHub.
