How do Pay-As-You-Go plans work?
Pay-As-You-Go plans have zero commitment costs and you pay for actual usage. You submit your optimization jobs to solve on a virtual machine pool shared with other customers. Priority of jobs is on a first come first serve basis. At the end of each month you are billed for the total solve time for all the jobs during that month, rounded up to the nearest hour. For example, if you solved 100 models in the month of June, and each took 10 seconds to solve, your bill will be based on 1000 seconds of solve time, rounded up to the next hour, that is 1 hour.
How do Committed Hours plans work?
Committed Hours plans involve commitment to use a specific number of hours per month over a commitment term. Committed level based discounts are provided beyond 100 hours/month. Please contact a sales representative if you wish to commit to more than 250 hours/month. You submit your optimization jobs to solve on a virtual machine pool shared with other customers. Priority of jobs is on a first come first serve basis. At end of each month we will add the solve time for all the jobs during that month. This total will be rounded up to next hour and compared to your committed level. If usage exceeds the committed level then the excess will be billed at overage rate. If usage is less than the committed level, you will still be billed for the committed hours.
How does the Flex Tier plan work?
The Flex Tier plan provides access to high-end technology for all clients, from low-volume to high-volume. You get dedicated computing capacity – including all high-end features such as Python workers, parallel computing, and dedicated job queuing – at flexible and competitive pricing. The service provides API-based capacity provisioning with short, guaranteed provisioning times. Flexibility is reflected in the pricing and subscription scheme. You can subscribe on a monthly basis for dedicated capacities on a large variety of machine configurations. You can also avail of annual subscriptions for flexible use of the service on a daily basis. For example, you can buy both a small machine for service usage on a regular basis and a large machine for irregular peak usages on one contract with a plannable, fixed monthly price (and potential overage charges for usage overrun).
Note: In the Flex Tier daily plan, each request to provision a machine is counted as one day’s use of a machine.
What is included in the price for a plan?
The price displayed for a plan is all inclusive, that is, it includes software entitlement, underlying hardware and storage use, 24 x 7 team to address any cloud infrastructure and software issues.
How can I keep track of my usage?
You can see details of your use of DOcplexcloud services on the Usage History page. This page provides details of your usage per month and per subscription (for example, free trial or paid plan). To access this page you must be signed in the DOcplexcloud website and use your account menu (upper right corner).
What happens to my data?
Data submitted to DOcplexcloud is stored in a secure object store. Only the DOcplexcloud Operations Team has access to the object store and all connections are secure (https). Data is uploaded to DOcplexcloud when a job is submitted and exists only in the system while the job exists. Your data is encrypted in the object store using a single encryption key controlled by the DOcplexcloud Operations Team. As soon as a job is deleted in the system, all associated customer data is also deleted.
