Agrolly, a Call for Code open source project that fights climate change

March 8, 2021 2:00 pm CDT

In recent years, developed countries with good farm infrastructure had more than 17% decrease in their yield due to climate changes (Nelson et al, 2013). Larger farms continue to endure, but smaller farms, particularly in emerging countries, cannot withstand consistent declines, and farmers who view crop yields as a critical resource to both themselves and their communities are left empty-handed.

The Agrolly team is fighting back against climate change. This diverse group of students from Pace University built this solution with the aim to fill in the information gaps between large and small farmers to help them make more educated decisions, obtain the necessary financing, and improve their economic outcome.

Farms serve as the tent pole to every community, and Agrolly remains steadfast in using tech for good to help farmers around the world do what they do best.
