IBM Call For Code is a global tech for good hackathon run in partnership with the United Nations and Linux Foundation, and aimed at coming up with innovative solutions to some of the world’s biggest challenges. It is the largest tech for good initiative of its kind.
We’re celebrating our 4th year running Call For Code in 2021 and focused on tackling the impacts of climate change in the world through 3 main themes:
Clean water and sanitation
Responsible production and green consumption.
We’re calling all change makers, innovators, future leaders, entrepreneurs and global citizens from across all walks of life to get involved, form a team and share their passion and ideas with the world to help make a real impact on our collective future.
This year Call For Code Australia / New Zealand is excited to be teaming up with Call For Code UK and France to host a cross-border virtual weekend hackathon on the 5th and 6th of June!
This brings you a full weekend of supportive (and awake in your night!) mentors, workshops and atmosphere!
This event is a great opportunity for you to come up with and start building out your solutions for the global Call For Code challenge deadline on July 31th, offering the chance to win $200,000 USD and support to see your idea deployed to the world.

This 2 day event will kick off at 10am (AEST and London, BST times) and submissions will be due at 2:30pm Sunday (your local event timezone)
Note: Due to the time differences between regions, the start and end times for the separate timezone’s will be different, as will the judges for the ANZ and UK/France streams – so there will be top 3 winners from both ANZ and the UK/France (3 from each regional zone)
