Join us to learn about the Incident Accuracy Reporting System (IARS), a Call for Code for Racial Justice Open Source project that captures eyewitness accounts and police reports and compares them to verify accuracy. IARS seeks to increase transparency & accountability in policing and to reduce police behavioral infractions by empowering eyewitnesses to submit their firsthand accounts. The Incident Accuracy Reporting System team will outline their project, which utilizes blockchain and machine learning to flag inconsistencies between incidence accounts from eyewitnesses and police reports. They will discuss the motivation for this project and how you can contribute.
