Coding for Racial Justice: MLK Day

New York

January 20, 2022 2:00 pm EST

We invite you to join us as we honor the legacy & vision of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. with a conversation and technical workshop on voting rights.

What you will learn

We will discuss the importance of community & technology contribution to voting rights, a critical component of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s legacy and vision. You will also learn about existing APIs and data resources that you can leverage in building tools for voting resources. Hear from the technical team of Five Fifths Voter, a platform that provides marginalized voters the resources that they need to navigate the voting process. Learn how you can contribute to our open source projects, which are focused on using technology to fight racial injustice, get updates on our projects to date and get plugged into our community.

Who should join

We invite everyone to join this Call for Code for Racial Justice event. This session provides great opportunities for non-developers and developers alike to make meaningful contributions and give back to our open source projects.
