Call For Code is a global tech for good initiative run in a partnership between IBM, the United Nations and Linux Foundation. It is an open innovation programme that aims to support innovative solutions that solve some of the world’s biggest challenges.
We’re celebrating our 4th year running Call For Code in 2021 with a focus on tackling the impacts of climate change in the world through 3 main themes:
Clean water and sanitation
Responsible production and green consumption.
During this session you will:
see examples of how tech for good initiatives and open innovation can harness technology and inspire technologists to find solutions to some of the worlds most pressing challenges
learn how you can get involved with Tech for Good to help make a real impact on our collective future
hear from a diverse team that took part in our Call for Code Racial Justice challenge and how you can contribute towards this open source project to help promote racial justice.

Discover how Take Two helps alleviate racial biases online. Take Two scans written content and ensures that racial biases both glaring and subtle are caught. The API is backed by a crowdsource bank of words and phrases that are racially biased. With AI the model learns in what context these wordsTechnical Focal, AI Ethics are harmful and highlight them for the user.

Connecting Women in Technology (CWT) is a cross industry network established for the joint benefit of employees from Avaya, Dell, IBM, and Intel and has been running for over 10 years.
