In this Session we will talk about Hyper Protect Crypto Services: Beyond encryption keys
Using Cryptographic keys to encrypt your data is a must-have for most workloads already. Apart from applying encryption within the workload, the way the keys are protected from the cloud service provider, hosting these keys, is a decision influencing question. IBM Cloud Hyper Protect Crypto Services combines enclave technology with a highest FIPS 140-2 certified Hardware Cryptographic Module to achieve to the highest level of protection for your encrypted data, where the cloud service provider cannot access your keys.
In this session you’ll learn what cryptographic capabilities this cloud service has to offer, get an architecture overview, understand the programming interfaces available (for both cloud native and classic applications) and a demo of examples on how you can use your encryption keys, where you own the root of trust in the HSM.

Application Security Journey for Developers
Join us in this series – every Wednesday – discover more about the area of application security. Learn how to secure your applications and processes, protect your data and mitigate the risks of Fraud and Threats. Build Smart. Build Secure.
As developers and architects, we build applications which solve business problems of our clients and sometimes are the backbone of their business. If these systems are insecure, they can destroy the client’s reputation and result in severe legal consequences. Addressing this issue, the “Application Security for Developers Journey“, is a series of talks and hands-on-sessions in which we will highlight security from the perspectives of architects and developers.
