Kyle Simpson on JavaScript: From Chess to JS

San Francisco

September 21, 2021 2:00 pm MDT

Kyle Simpson (getify), author of the widely acclaimed “You Don’t Know JS (Yet)” books, presents a session you surely don’t want to miss, as you plan out your strategy to play the next winning moves in your JS career.

🎓 What will you learn?

Kyle will walk us through how to tackle algorithmic challenges in our JS programs, just like carefully playing a game of chess. We’ll explore a common JS-interview-type challenge and discuss various implementation strategies and their tradeoffs. And of course, along the way, we’ll all get to KNOW JS a little deeper.

👩‍💻 Who should attend?

Recommended Level: 6+ months experience with JS, basic CompSci/algorithm familiarity, but all are welcome
