Tue June 02, 2020 06:49 AM

Accessibility features help users who have a physical disability, such as restricted mobility or limited vision, to use information technology products successfully.

In IBM Integration Bus v10 Open Beta, to move a node on the canvas by using the keyboard, you must complete the following steps:

Note: After you have added a node to the canvas, the first node that is added is partly obscured by the data capture button. This does not cause any issues.

Step1:

Keystrokes: If focus is not already on the canvas, use Ctr F7 to open the list view.

JAWS announcement: “Control F7 dialog list view Properties two of twelve to move through items use the arrow keys. “

Step 2:

Keystrokes: Up down arrow keys to select Editor Pane

JAWS announcement: JAWS announces the names of the items in the list as they are highlighted e.g. “Application Development”, “Patterns Explorer , “Properties”

Focus is now on canvas (Note: There are no visual highlights to indicate the focus.)

JAWS announcement: name of node selected – in this case, only the name of the MQInput node is announced since there is only one node on the canvas so far. The announcement says: “ node colon MQInput”

Note: If there is more than one node on the canvas, use the right and left arrow keys to navigate to the node you want to move. JAWS announces the names of the nodes as you navigate around them.

Step 3:

Keystrokes: Use the decimal key (.) to select one of the move handles around the node. A four way arrow icon will appear next to the node – note that this is not shown in the screenshot.

JAWS announcement: “ period “

Step 4:

Keystrokes: left, right, up, and down arrow keys to move the node to a new location.

JAWS announcement: (No announcement from JAWS to indicate node is being moved)

Step 5:

Keystrokes: Press escape when the node has been moved to the required position.

JAWS announcement: “Escape”

Nodes have been rearranged on the canvas following the sequence of keystrokes above:
