The IBM Integration Bus v10 Open Beta creates and starts a node and server, TESTNODE_username, when you start the Studio so that you always have a node to deploy to and test against. However, you may not necessarily want this pre-created node, so how do you stop it being started or created?

  1. Start the studio
  2. Select the menu item Window → Preferences
  3. In the left hand column expand Integration Development
  4. Select Unit Test Settings
  5. Tick the ‘Disable default TESTNODE creation’ box
  6. Click Apply and OK

When you next start the studio the TESTNODE_username will not automatically be started.

If you delete TESTNODE_username it will not be re-created.

If you want to return to the original state where the TESTNODE_username is created and started:

  1. Start the studio
  2. Select the menu item Window → Preferences
  3. In the left hand column expand Integration Development
  4. Select Unit Test Settings
  5. Untick the ‘Disable default TESTNODE creation’ box
  6. Click Apply and OK
