As an Early Program Manager in BetaWorks I often share with customers the benefits of participating in the BetaWorks’ Early programs. Sometimes customers are keen to share their experiences and then we set up the microphone and get the camera rolling. Their thoughts and comments are invaluable and provide a first hand insight to what BetaWorks does and why other customers should join BetaWorks’ Early Programs.
During the annual BetaWorks’ IBM Integration Bus Workshop in June four of the participants who were attending in Hursley discussed their experiences.
Sebastian Hirt is a Senior Integration Consultant at ‘esciris GmbH’ in Germany. He has been on the IBM Integration Bus (IIB) Beta program for a few years. He has participated in tele and web conferences with the development team and has attended the annual BetaWorks’ Workshop in the last few years. Some of the key points that resonated from the session are how Sebastian enjoys ‘the direct contact between IBM developers and Beta program participants’ and that the Beta customers ‘can make a difference’ to the developed product.
Herbert Thuemer in an Integration Architect and developer at HT Systemberatung GmbH in Germany. He joined the IBM Integration Bus vNext Beta Program in 2014 and since then has been testing beta versions of the product and provided feedback to the development team. Some of the key points from the interview are how Herbert appreciates the ‘insight from the developers’ and ‘all the education and labs’.
Jan Fluitsma is an Integration Consultant at ‘Virtual Sciences’ in Netherlands. He has been on the IBM Integration Bus (IIB) Beta program for the last year. He has been taking advantage of the weekly Beta drivers to get insight into the product and has also participated in 1-to-1 tele and web conferences with the development team. Some of the highlights for Jan are ‘giving direct feedback to the IBM developers’ and then ‘seeing that feedback implemented in the product’.
Hakan Lantz is an Integration Consultant at ‘ReplyTo AB’ in Sweden. He has been on the IBM Integration Bus (IIB) Beta program for a very long time. He has been taking advantage of interacting directly with the developers of the product to understand the thoughts behind the features built into the product. The best highlights for Hakan are ‘networking’ and ‘putting a face to who is behind a developed feature’.
