We’re pleased to announce that IBM Integration Bus 10.0.0.13 is now available.

IBM Integration Bus v10 Fix Pack 13 includes several upgrades to internal components and some updates to our support statements:

  • The Node.js framework embedded in IIBv10.0.0.13 has been upgraded to 8.10.0. IIB embeds the industry standard Node.js framework for several purposes including the Switch server for callable flows, the Salesforce Request node and the LoopBackRequest node. The LoopBackRequest node enables flows to connect with external systems by using user-installed LoopBack connectors. You can download and install external LoopBack connectors by using the npm tool that is provided with IBM Integration Bus.
  • IIBv10.0.0.13 now supports connection to both Oracle 12c Release 2 (12.2) Standard Edition and Enterprise Edition. ODBC connection to the database is only supported using drivers shipped within IBM Integration Bus. Globally coordinated transaction support (XA) is provided. Only the connect-time failover feature, of Oracle RAC, using a list of alternate servers, is supported.
  • IIBv10.0.0.13 now supports connection to DB2 version 12 on z/OS
  • IIBv10.0.0.13 now supports connection to Sybase v16. ODBC connection to the database is only supported using drivers shipped within IBM Integration Bus.
  • IIB v10 provides a sample Kibana dashboard for displaying BIP log events which have been sent to the IBM Cloud Log Analysis Service. This dashboard must be “uploaded” into the relevant IBM Cloud space, once the IIB events have been added to the space Log Analysis index.
This can be done manually by users, and previously we have offered an option (-d parameter) on the mqsichangebluemixreporting command to automate this process. Unfortunately, this automated aspect of the command has been removed in fix pack 13 (this feature was dependent on an IBM Liberty feature which was in beta and due to lack of demand, is not being continued). IIB users will continue to be able to send log events to the IBM Cloud Log Analysis service, and the sample Kibana dashboard will continue to be provided by IIB for manual import.
