SurveyMonkey is an online survey platform that allows you to create surveys, share them in different ways, and set up lists of recipients. Whether your surveys are collecting market research or measuring customer satisfaction, getting feedback from your customers helps you to make the right decisions. IBM App Connect ensures that your team can target the right customers with the right surveys by automatically updating SurveyMonkey when customer data changes in other apps.
A typical business scenario
You work in a fast-moving, innovative company, where customer feedback is crucial to the success of your business. So you’re using SurveyMonkey to gather that vital information and keep in touch with your customers. Your team is collaborating on surveys that research your target market and measure customer satisfaction, and you’re building up a valuable list of contacts.
But how do you know that you’re targeting the right people? You have vast amounts of data about your customers in the cloud – in your CRM systems and marketing apps, in your event management solutions and email management software. For example, you might want to add a contact to SurveyMonkey every time you get a new lead in your CRM system, or when someone signs up to an event in your event management app. All this manual updating of your apps uses up your valuable time when you could be doing something more productive.
How App Connect can help
Use App Connect to connect SurveyMonkey to your other apps. So whenever someone signs up to an event in Eventbrite, a contact or recipient is created for you in SurveyMonkey. Or the moment a new lead is added to Salesforce or Marketo, that contact is added to SurveyMonkey. Meaning you now have time to concentrate on other tasks.
What should I consider first?
You can see a full list of the actions that are available with SurveyMonkey on the Applications tab on the App Connect Catalog page. Before you add some of the SurveyMonkey actions to your flow, make sure you have the following resources:
- You’ll need the user name and password of your SurveyMonkey account so that you can connect App Connect to it.
- If you add the “Create collector” action to your flow, you must have an existing survey in SurveyMonkey so that App Connect can create a collector for it; you’ll need to specify the name of the survey in App Connect.
- If you add the “Create contact” action to your flow, you must have an existing contact list in SurveyMonkey for App Connect to add the contact to; you’ll need to specify the name of the contact list in App Connect.
- If you add the “Create recipient” action to your flow, you must have an existing survey and collector in SurveyMonkey so that App Connect can use the collector to send the survey to the new recipient; you’ll need to specify the names of the survey and collector in App Connect.
