IBM App Connect can be deployed in different ways to suit your individual strategy and demands.


You can download images of the software and deploy this to several different places – on your own Data Center, in a virtual machine or in a Docker image, as part of a Private cloud installation such as Red Hat OpenShift, or installed by you into a public cloud such as IBM Cloud, AWS or Microsoft Azure. Ultimately, with software you are responsible for acquiring the software images, installing, configuring, and management of the runtimes. You will have to download fix packs and perform migrations to stay on a current/in-support version.

Utilize the full-capability of IBM App Connect running on IBM Cloud to take advantage of benefits including rapid access and reduced operations. You author your integration assets and deploy them, IBM takes care of the infrastructure needed to run those assets and will take care of things like load balancing, etc. As part of the service provided, IBM does all the patching and security updates needed on the cloud service without you having to worry about that, and IBM adds new capabilities to ensure that the customer is always on the “latest version”.
