SOA Policy, Service Gateway, and SLA Management
This IBM® Redbooks® publication teaches you how to automate your runtime policy by using a centralized policy management system. The SOA Policy Solution provides a centralized policy administration, enforcement, and monitoring for runtime policies that enable traffic management for service level agreement enforcement, service mediation, and other customized policies. Policies can be defined once and reused among multiple services, thus enabling a standardized, consistent approach to a runtime policy that saves time and money for implementation and maintenance of non-functional requirements for the enterprise and assists with faster time to market.

Service Lifecycle Governance with IBM WebSphere Service Registry and Repository
IBM WebSphere Service Registry and Repository provides service registry and repository functions for service-oriented architecture (SOA) enterprise applications. This IBM Redbooks publication uses business scenarios to illustrate SOA governance using WSRR as the authoritative registry and repository.

This book is based on WebSphere Service Registry and Repository V6.3 and is intended for IT architects and IT specialists looking to get a better understanding of how to achieve service life cycle governance.

Service Lifecycle Governance with IBM WebSphere Service Registry and Repository Advanced Lifecycle Edition
The purpose of service-oriented architecture (SOA) governance is to act as the catalyst between business governance and IT governance by ensuring optimal business value for services investments. Within SOA governance, there is service governance, which ensures that organizations build the right services, in the right way, at the right time, and then manage and reuse those services effectively. Service governance does this by overseeing the processes of proactively identifying, assessing, building, and managing high-value business services, those services that provide the greatest return on investment. Service governance requires a federated, end-to-end approach to service lifecycle governance and management, including knowing what needs to be strictly governed and where a lighter touch is more appropriate.

This IBM Redbooks publication identifies the key functions and capabilities that are required for service governance based on field best practices and client scenarios. This expertise gives IBM the ability to deliver higher business value to our clients in more consumable ways and value that is fit for purpose delivery methods that match the way our clients operate.

Integrating PDM and ERP Systems with IBM Manufacturing Release Management
IBM® Manufacturing Release Management is a solution for improved manufacturing and resource planning. Companies have long known that effective management of new design and engineering releases is essential, not only to the manufacturing process but for reducing overall supply chain risks. As supply chains become more software-driven, the integrated flow of design and release information has emerged as a critical factor.

As described in this IBM Redbooks® Solution Guide, Manufacturing Release Management acts as a bridge to carry product design and related data from an enterprise’s Product Data Management (PDM) systems with its Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.

  1. See https://developer.ibm.com/integration/docs/wsrr/overview/ for general details of the benefits that WSRR gives you.

  2. WSRR does not have specific integration with Z/OS connect. I do not know if Z/OS connect integrates with WSRR but I have not heard anything about that. If you create a REST API using Z/OS connect then you can certainly register this in WSRR, or API Connect.

Actually we are looking to use WSRR as a service catalogue for the all the service in our domain. And we are using the Z/OS connect for API development. But we have some internal service which is not exposed on API and will be used in traditional MQ/XML way. So need to understand the benefit WSRR bring back to us we want to use it for governance and service catalogue.

    Hi,

I need to know if IBM Z/OS connect can be integrated with IBM WSRR, since we want to use the IBM Z/OS connect for API generation-
