WISeKey International Holding Ltd (WISeKey) (SIX:WIHN), a leading Swiss cybersecurity and IoT solutions company, is featuring a secure IoT solution, integrated with IBM Watson IoT platform, at this year’s Hannover Messe. The combined solution provides extended security capabilities for sensitive data exchanged between devices across IoT networks and the IBM Watson IoT Platform. These capabilities are managed centrally, enabling customers to benefit from increased trust in the data handled by the application, and a reduced risk of revenue loss due to cyber-attacks of all kinds thus leverage a greater value of their business.
IBM’s Watson IoT platform is a cognitive, cloud-based, managed service available on the IBM Cloud, that is designed to make it simple for organizations to derive value from their Internet of Things (IoT) devices. The Watson IoT platform allows the exchange of information between devices and business applications, using a secure Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) technology to bring authentication and data encryption. This enables seamless integration with WISeKey’s Root of Trust (RoT), a highly secure crypto chip that protects the digital identity and certificates of transmitted data through the secure authentication of devices and encryption of the data channel.
These WISeKeyIoT components are now available to users of IBM’s Watson IoT platform. In this way, digital certificates can be easily created and deployed, and a ‘security broker’ verifies the security level of transmitted data, renewing certificates and managing attributes as needed. This makes deployment to large numbers of connected devices even easier and more secure.
WISeKey and IBM invite you to join them at Hannover Messe (April 23-27), where they are showcasing the Watson IoT platform combined with the WISeKey secure IoT solution. You can find this in the Digital Factory, in the SWISS Pavillion in Hall 6 on Stand G22. In addition, you are welcome to visit the IBM Booth in Hall 7 on Stand C16.
