I’ve published a few articles recently that will be of interest to developers who are porting or tuning applications for Linux on Power. They contain reasonably static content, so they will be maintained in the Linux on Power Developer Portal library (Develop and Port section).
The articles are:
- “Porting to Linux on Power: 5 tips that could turn a good port into a great port”
This article describes potential differences between Linux on x86 and Linux on Power and approaches for fixing, improving, or working around them as you port your application to the Power platform.
- “15 Porting and tuning tools for Linux on Power”
This is an enhanced transcript of my presentation at the OpenPOWER Summit 2018, and describes a number of tools that should be in the toolbox, but may be overlooked, when porting or tuning for Linux on Power.
Hopefully, more articles will be coming soon!
