What's New in z Systems Development and Test Environment (zD&T) V11.0.1

    New features
  • Scheduling: It allows you to specify a date and time to create an application image from a Z system
  • Role-based UI: The UI can display and hide actions based on the role of users, such as administrator, builder, developer/tester
  • USB dongle: It supports licenses that are retrieved from a primary or backup License server
  • Target system configuration: It allows you to specify number of CPs and RAM size
  • Monitor page: You can view the progress of an application component and image created from an IBM Z system
    • Automation of various z Systems Development and Test Environment personal edition and License Manager installation and configuration:
    • Creating non-root user id ibmsys1 when running the installation
    • Opening different ports; for example, 9451, 9450 and 1947
    • Configuring default configuration of sysctl and bashrc
    Important defect fixes
  • Fixed errors with handling RHEL or Ubuntu packages during deploy
  • Updated linefeed characters in deploy scripts
  • Added functionality to install ftp client as part of the deploy process
  • Fixed the issue of License Manager cannot be found when installed on a machine on a different subnet than the target system
  • Improved error handling to prevent an empty error dialog from appearing at anytime after doing a deployment
  • Added missing functionality of protected or wrapping keys
