IBM MQ for HPE NonStop V8.0.4 is the fourth Continuous Delivery (CD) update for MQ NonStop version 8. This CD release delivers two new major features: official support for Publish/Subscribe and RFC5280. V8.0.4 also contains other new minor features, enhancements, and quality improvements. For more information about the new features, see the What’s new section of the main product documentation: IBM MQ for HPE NonStop V8.0 Knowledge Center Product Documentation.

This release also delivers defect fixes, including fixes for APARs. For a list of the APARs addressed in the release, see the Fix list for IBM MQ for HPE NonStop V8.0.x.

For information on system requirements and limitations for V8.0.4 and all V8 releases, see the IBM MQ for HPE NonStop V8 Product Readme.

Where to get IBM MQ for HPE NonStop V8.0.4

As with all V8 CD releases, IBM MQ for HPE NonStop 8.0.4 can be obtained from Passport Advantage, see Downloading IBM MQ for HPE NonStop V8.0.4. (This is different to the fixpacks that are released to support the V5.3 MQ NonStop product, which are available via Fix Central.)

V8.0.4 will also be made available soon for evaluation purposes via the IBM Early Access (“Beta”) Program, in the same way as previous MQ NonStop V8 CD releases have been. If you are not already in the Beta program, you can sign up by contacting your local IBM representative or the Beta program manager. You can then obtain the Beta release of the product which has the same functionally as the V8.0.4 GA release.

V8.0 Continuous Delivery Model

Under the IBM standard Continuous Delivery policy, product fixes are only guaranteed for the two most recent CD releases. However, given the frequency of recent MQ NonStop V8 releases, IBM will still continue to support all V8.0.x releases for now. However, IBM strongly encourages customers to always upgrade to the latest V8.0.x release, now V8.0.4, as it contains all the latest product fixes and security updates.
