IBM Bob, combined with IBM webMethods Hybrid Integration, provides a powerful solution for rapidly developing and deploying IBM App Connect Enterprise integration projects.</p>\n<p xmlns=\"http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml\">In this tutorial, you implement an end-to-end workflow using IBM Bob to generate integration code that follows enterprise patterns, validate the integration project with IBM Bob and the App Connect Enterprise Toolkit to ensure its quality, and then deploy and test it locally. Optionally, you deploy the integration project to a self-managed App Connect Enterprise runtime using IBM webMethods Hybrid Integration to ensure central governance and auditability.</p>\n<p xmlns=\"http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml\">In this tutorial, you create a REST API in IBM App Connect Enterprise to check a city's current weather and any alerts by using an open source API on the backend.</p>\n<p xmlns=\"http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml\">For this tutorial, you use an IBM Bob custom mode, the ACE Developer mode, which enables enterprise-grade development of IBM App Connect Enterprise v13 integration projects. You can customize the ACE Developer custom mode to align with your own enterprise best practices and guidelines for ACE development.</p>\n<h2 id=\"prerequisites\" xmlns=\"http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml\">Prerequisites</h2>\n<p xmlns=\"http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml\">In addition to having a basic understanding of integration concepts, a familiarity with REST APIs, and a basic understanding of AI coding workflows, ensure that you have access to the following:</p>\n<ul xmlns=\"http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml\">\n<li><p>IBM Bob. <a href=\"https://bob.ibm.com/trial/?utm_source=developer-content&amp;cm_sp=ibmdev-_-developer-_-trial\">Sign up for a free trial of IBM Bob</a>. <a href=\"https://bob.ibm.com/docs/ide/getting-started/install\">Download and install the Bob IDE</a>.</p>\n</li>\n<li><p>IBM App Connect Enterprise Evaluation Edition. <a href=\"https://www.ibm.com/account/reg/us-en/subscribe?formid=urx-53963&amp;utm_source=ibm_developer&amp;cm_sp=ibmdev-_-developer-_-trial\">Start your App Connect Enterprise free trial</a>.</p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/app-connect/13.0.x?topic=gsace-download-app-connect-enterprise-evaluation-edition-get-started&amp;utm_source=ibm_developer&amp;utm_content=in_content_link&amp;utm_id=tutorials_accelerate-integration-development-app-connect-ibm-bob&amp;cm_sp=ibmdev-_-developer-tutorials-_-ibmcom\">Download and install App Connect Enterprise Toolkit</a>.</li>\n<li><a href=\"https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/app-connect/13.0.x?topic=software-installing-linux&amp;utm_source=ibm_developer&amp;utm_content=in_content_link&amp;utm_id=tutorials_accelerate-integration-development-app-connect-ibm-bob&amp;cm_sp=ibmdev-_-developer-tutorials-_-ibmcom\">Install App Connect Enterprise runtime on Linux VM</a>.</li>\n<li><a href=\"https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/app-connect/13.0.x?topic=tasks-setting-up-command-environment&amp;utm_source=ibm_developer&amp;utm_content=in_content_link&amp;utm_id=tutorials_accelerate-integration-development-app-connect-ibm-bob&amp;cm_sp=ibmdev-_-developer-tutorials-_-ibmcom\">Set up the command line environment</a>, mqsiprofile, in your local environment.</li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n<li><p>Optional: IBM webMethods Hybrid Integration.
