I’ve been keeping you up to date on the progress of Node.js community support for Linux on Power, AIX, LinuxOne and Linux on Z over the past while. I’m happy to be able to let you know that community binaries are now available for Linux on Power for big endian.¬† The binaries for Linux on Power little endian have been available for a while now, but the addition of binaries for big endian completes the community support for Linux on Power.

Downloads are available through the community download page here:¬† https://nodejs.org/en/download/, with binaries being available for the 4.X LTS line as well as the 6.x “Current” line.

On the AIX front hardware is on its way to osuosl(http://osuosl.org/)¬† and we hope to be adding 3 new virtual machines to the Node.js community CI in the next month or so, allowing us to progress support on the AIX front.¬† The other good news is that we’ve been working on the libuv side and the regression tests are now all green on AIX !.¬† You can check that out here: https://ci.nodejs.org/view/libuv/.

On the LinuxOne and Linux on Z front, hardware is already in place in the community CI and, as soon as master moves up to 5.1 of v8, we’ll add the CI jobs to cover those platforms to the regular regression tests for master as well.¬† That should happen soon and there is even some discussion/chance that 5.1 might make it into 6.X as well !

As always, if you need AIX/LinuxOne/Linuz on Z binaries now you can get them from:  https://developer.ibm.com/node/sdk/ where binaries are available for versions as far back as the 0.10.x line.
