Andrew Cross is a researcher in the Theory of Quantum Computing Group at the IBM TJ Watson Research Center in Yorktown Heights, USA.
Andrew’s career reflects his broad interest in quantum computing. He’s currently focusing on making quantum computers more robust. Working closely with the IBM quantum experimental team, he’s actively involved in detecting quantum errors, and has also been developing software for the IBM Quantum Experience.
Andrew attended Case Western Reserve University as an undergraduate and MIT as a graduate student. Prior to joining IBM, he worked as a researcher at Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC).
He is a contributor to the QISKit open source project that provides developers with programmatic access to IBM’s Quantum Experience.
