I’m a Research Staff Member and manager of User Experience and Design at the IBM T. J. Watson Research Center. I’m also known as IBM’s “cool things” czar because of my passion for exploring the intersection between art and computer science.
My work focuses on developing next-generation human-machine interfaces to enable symbiotic relationships between people and cognitive systems.
I received a Ph.D. in Systems Design Engineering from the University of Waterloo and then entered the Ontario College of Art and Design for an Art and Design Studio program. My work blends art, science, and engineering. I can’t wait to share my latest creation, TJBot, with you!
