I’m currently the team lead of Watson Swift SDK within IBM’s Mobile Innovation Lab. The SDK helps developers create cognitive applications by leveraging the power of Watson services.
Working on the SDK gives me the opportunity to understand how users interact with what I build. I am able to witness how the changes I lead impact users. My goal with any project I am on is to create something useful. Knowing that I can create and improve upon new technologies is empowering.
Prior to joining the lab, I worked with IBM’s Emerging Web Technologies (ET) and WebSphere Security teams. I created sample web apps to promote IBM Bluemix and learned about end-to-end development with ET. Afterwards, I helped implement Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML) to enable Single Sign On (SSO) for third-party authentication with WebSphere.
I joined IBM shortly after graduating from the University of California at Berkeley. I’m currently interested in mobile development, though I’m passionate about learning in general. For example, I’m building a ray tracer in Go as a side project and love discussing with people what I learn.
