Please join us in Helsinki on March 13-14 at IBM Office Helsinki (Laajalahdentie 23, 00330 Helsinki) for a workshop on artificial intelligence. Working with Daniel Pakkala and Jim Spohrer, we will share information about open source, AI challenge leaderboards, and AI architecture. Other topics include AI trends, AI frameworks like TensorFlow, chatbots, AI in the context of healthcare and in energy & utilities industries. The event will be of interest to a variety of participants such as developers (particularly the tutorials), and for those defining the strategy for AI in their companies. Students, faculty and startups who participate, will be able to connect with companies, and showcase their work, e.g., through posters.

The Helsinki event will be relevant to digital transformation of economies via opentech AI. Specifically, the conference will look at AI for Healthcare and Manufacturing as well as other industry-specific applications of AI, and Finland’s AI Strategy focus. The event will also look at open AI code + data + challenges = AI leaderboards for the best solution to tasks at the current time. Eventually, there will be one AI system that can do them all – and that will be discussed, as well as the future of AI.

Showcase Your Work through a Poster

Posters, where you print some materials about your work and stick them on a board, are a great way to network, discuss, and share your activities with people who have similar interests. Please contact me by March 2, putting Helsinki poster in the subject line, if you would like to showcase your AI work in a poster on March 13 between 17:30-19:30. These are the details you should send about your poster:

  • Your name and the names & email address any other poster authors
  • The poster title
  • The poster abstract
