Dale Lane | Machine learning for kids

Dale Lane is the lead software developer and architect for Apache Kafka capabilities in IBM’s Cloud Pak for Integration, working at the IBM Hursley research and development laboratory in the UK.

Dale is also a father, and he was looking for a way to show his kids what he does at work and what machine learning actually is. With no background in education, he tapped into the creativity that comes from being a software developer and put together an educational platform that teaches machine learning concepts to children at a level that they can easily grasp.

His pet project didn’t stay small for long. Word quickly got out about his new platform, Machine Learning for Kids, and what started as a family educational project soon grew into a global phenomenon being used by thousands worldwide.

Join us for a fun and informative chat with Dale and find out how his little project turned into a very big deal.
