Remember the old days when planning a wedding meant hiring a wedding planner, or scouting out venues, caterers, florists, musicians and an endless list of contacts yourself? Well now you can do all of that virtually in Brazil.
Meet Meeka, the first virtual assistant for weddings brought to you by Mecasei.com. Built with Watson APIs on Bluemix, Meeka by Mecasei.com interacts with clients and helps them manage their wedding budgets, guest lists and suppliers all in one application. In the website, couples can collaborate on all of their wedding information like: ceremony locale, guest list, gift registry and more in one convenient location.
The company joined the IBM Global Entrepreneur program and began meeting with technical advisors who taught them how to incorporate Watson APIs built on Bluemix into their solution using: Dialog, Natural Language Classifier (NLC), and Retrieve and Rank Language Translation.
A few months later, after just nine months, Meeka – the first virtual assistant for weddings in the world supported and developed by IBM Watson APIs on IBM Bluemix was born on Mecasei.com.
“We understand the complexity of the project and the restrictions that we face like a startup. Since the first contact with IBM until the submission to the IBM Global Entrepreneur, we delivered true innovation, very quickly, for our end users. IBM Global Entrepreneur offered the easy adoption of the technologies and a quick implementation of the solution to the market,” said Daniel Tamioso, CTO of Mecasei.
