Hack on Health by Abu Dhabi DOH

October 27, 2019

DoH’s visionary AI Lab is excited to announce it’s first healthcare hackathon to be held on October 27th & 28th, 2019. With the hackathon, we aim to bring together the emirate’s young talent – students, entrepreneurs, incubators, technologists, coders – with the wider healthcare market of providers, payers, healthcare startups and medical institutions.

The 48-hour hackathon will focus on the challenges of Chronic Disease Management across it’s 3 stages: prevention, early detection and lifestyle management. The hackathon aims to disrupt the current innovation trends in the region, creating positive change for the healthcare ecosystem.

This will be a highly public event, providing an excellent opportunity for participants to learn working on new environments as well as expand their network and meet professionals from across the local & global healthcare ecosystem.

The Challenge: Chronic Diseases are a leading cause for concern among the UAE’s population. With the hackathon, we are looking to innovate using the bottom-up approach, by bringing together social & technological innovators with healthcare experts to create impactful solutions that can bring about a more preventive-care driven attitude in the community, especially focusing on these areas:

  1. Wellness & Prevention
  2. Early Detection
  3. Lifestyle Management
