Introduction
Because blockchain networks require many different organizations to work together, network members might want to use different cloud platforms to host their data and applications. The IBM Blockchain Platform provides the ability to deploy and connect components across multiple clouds. However, organizations might also want to join IBM Blockchain Platform networks from nodes that were deployed using open source Hyperledger Fabric or a different service provider. One of the core tenets of the IBM Blockchain Platform is to preserve interoperability by not modifying the core components of Hyperledger Fabric. Customers that use the IBM Blockchain Platform to deploy and operate their blockchain nodes can still connect to other Hyperledger Fabric networks.
You can use this tutorial series to learn how to connect Hyperledger Fabric networks to networks that have been deployed using the IBM Blockchain platform.
- Tutorial
Connect the IBM Blockchain Platform to Hyperledger Fabric components
Join a peer created on the IBM Blockchain Platform with an existing Hyperledger Fabric-based ordering service and application channel.
