Are you ready to start seamlessly building blockchain apps on Hyperledger® Fabric™ from the Linux Foundation®? IBM subject matter experts Kathryn Harrison and Simon Stone take you to ground zero with their demo of Hyperledger Composer, an application development framework which simplifies and expedites the creation of Hyperledger® Fabric™ applications.
At IBM Hursley Labs, the two and other members of their team wanted to build a real-life demonstration of how quickly a developer could stand up a blockchain application, even without an experienced developer in the house. This video illustrates their results.
In the demo, the duo engage the audience, coaxing them into playing roles in the scenario (which follows the mildly famous automobile lease lifecycle demo) – this, in turn, illustrates how the various components of Composer work.
Hyperledger Composer is a set of APIs, a modeling language, and a programming model you can use to quickly define and deploy business networks and applications that allow participants to send transactions that exchange assets. The IBM Blockchain, based on open source Hyperledger® Fabric™ technology, is used to store the state of assets in asset registries while the consensus protocol ensures that transactions are validated by concerned organizations in the business network.
