Here’s a white paper I put together to show two typical topologies for Rational Team Concert and IBM UrbanCode Deploy builds: Build integration overview: Rational Team Concert and IBM UrbanCode Deploy (standard and z/OS builds).
The first topology covers a typical workflow for building application artifacts in Rational Team Concert and pushing those artifacts to IBM UrbanCode Deploy to be deployed. The second topology is a mainframe application scenario that uses the UCD z/OS toolkit to push built artifacts. They’re both based on this basic integration topology of RTC and UCD elements:
For the topologies and workflows, see this document:
Build integration overview: Rational Team Concert and IBM UrbanCode Deploy (standard and z/OS builds).
These are just overview topologies. For instructions on setting up these kind of builds, see Creating build definitions for IBM UrbanCode Deploy in the Rational Team Concert help.
Are you looking for a different topology? Ask us in the forum if you’ve got questions about using UCD to deploy application components.
