Introduction to cloud security

Cloud security is a critical component of cloud computing, and involves protecting critical information from theft, data leakage, and deletion. In this talk, Anwesha Naskar, IBM developer advocate, and Darpan Shah, a software engineer with The Blackstone Group, discuss how cloud security is different than traditional on-prem security. They highlight and explain differences between infrastructure as a service (IaaS), platform as a service (PaaS ), and software as a service (SaaS), and explain different components of cloud security such as identity and access management (IAM) and networking. Application security on the cloud is also be discussed, with an overview of options on different cloud providers, including IBM Cloud.
