Have you ever wanted to know the difference between Kubernetes storage types such as file storage and block storage? In this session, we will take a look at a few different Kubernetes storage types and when you as a developer would use them. We will then focus on block storage and deploy our own database backed by block storage on Kubernetes and integrate it with an application to persist data.

Speakers Bio

Oliver is a client developer advocate based in Austin, TX who is focused on cloud native development and as of recently, dev ops. He has been with IBM for 5 years where he has gone from community advocacy and participating in hackathons to hands on training with client developers. In his free time he likes to tinker with electronics, build computers, and learn new languages.
