So, at least we can all agree, WebSphere Application Server is awesome. Good, glad we got that sorted. But, you might be thinking to yourself “as much as I think WebSphere Application Server V8.5 is amazing, I wrote my application to use a different application server.
So what do I do now?”
Well, intrepid questioner, we’ve come up with a neat solution to your problem.
To make things easier, we’ve written a particularly good book called the WebSphere Application Server V8.5 Migration Guide. This book covers how to take an application that was written for another application server, and get it running on WebSphere. It includes a host of different scenarios that make a useful reference for developers porting applications. There is also plenty of discussion about using the Liberty profile, migrating applications from older versions of WebSphere, and different tools available to the WebSphere developer.
This book was written in Istanbul, Turkey, and the team are very proud of what they achieved. So proud we were even able to get them on camera talking about it.
Don’t forget to take a look at the Migration Toolkits, which make migrating your applications a lot easier!
