Patrick Tiu demonstrates how to upgrade WebSphere Liberty to the production license in an application’s Maven pom.xml configuration file.

If you are using Maven to build, test, and run your Liberty applications, at some point, you’ll need to configure your Maven project to run the application on a version of Liberty that you can push into production (assuming you have a production license). It’s just a quick edit of the project’s pom.xml to specify a different target runtime. Maven will then download and start the production-licensed version of Liberty instead of the developer-licensed version that you used while developing the application:
